Puppy Classes, Behaviour Consultations & 1-2-1 Dog Training – For Dogs of All Ages, Breeds & Backgrounds.
Kind, qualified, and behaviour-led support tailored to your dog’s real-world needs.

Welcome to Paws ‘n’ Heal – where expert, compassionate support meets evidence-based training, tailored to your dog’s unique needs. I am both accredited as an IMDT training instructor and an Associate Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT)
As an Associate Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT), I provide the highest standard of behaviour support, grounded in the latest scientific research and best practices. Our accredited, insured, and force-free services are designed to help you and your dog thrive, whether you’re raising a puppy or addressing behavioural challenges with a rescue dog.
At Paws ‘n’ Heal, I offer preventative and first-aid behaviour support, addressing issues early and guiding you through challenges. Think of it as setting up a team to address your dog’s needs, with me as your first point of contact. While a Clinical Animal Behaviourist or veterinary behaviourist may not always be necessary, I have access to trusted specialists when their expertise is required, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored approach to your dog’s behaviour concerns.

As a behaviourist, I know that true wellbeing means supporting both mind and body.
That’s why I also offer Canine Sports Massage – because helping dogs feel better isn’t just about behaviour, it’s about comfort, movement, and overall quality of life.
My story
From Bali to Wigan. It’s fair to say the journey has been a colourful one. My passion for dogs was ignited when I was living overseas and a tiny, mangy Doberman puppy appeared at my door.

Where It All Began
Paws ‘n’ Heal was born from lived experience. My journey started in Bali, where I adopted Xena – a sweet, people-loving dog with poor social skills around other dogs. Not long after came Pumba, a tiny street rescue who was the opposite: great with dogs, but anxious around people. Bindi joined us later, adding her own quirks to the mix.
Through working with them – and volunteering hands-on in rescue – I realised just how individual, layered and emotional dog behaviour really is. When we returned to the UK together, I knew I wanted to help other dog owners navigate the same journey with more support than I had.
Paws ‘n’ Heal isn’t just a business. It’s a commitment to kind, knowledgeable, behaviour-led training that supports both ends of the lead.
The Learning Never Stopped
In 2019, I took the first step towards turning experience into expertise, qualifying in Canine Sports Massage with Distinction. I was driven by a desire to understand dogs more holistically – not just to manage behaviour, but to truly understand it.
Since then, I’ve completed Level 4 and 5 Diplomas in Canine Behaviour Management (both with Merit), become an IMDT-accredited Dog Training Instructor, and joined Kids Around Dogs (KAD) – supporting safe, positive relationships between children and dogs.
Each course, client, and dog has shaped how I work – with empathy, evidence, and a commitment to helping dogs and their humans thrive.
Paws ‘n’ Heal is the result of nearly a decade of learning, adapting, and showing up for dogs. When you book with me, you get support that’s kind, effective, and grounded in real knowledge and experience.

We provide training utilising positive reinforcement. We are against the use of aversives and will not promote the use of e-collars, prong collars, grots or similar tools to teach your dog new tricks. As an Institute of Modern Dog Trainers accredited trainer, Paws ‘n’ Heal follows a strict code of ethics laid out by the IMDT which can be found here.

It really depends on the dog and the severity of the issue however, progress can be achieved with every session.
Do you solve every problem?
We’re committed to giving 100% to every dog that needs our help. Despite extensive experience and knowledge, there may be an enquiry that is beyond our remit. We are happy, and able to refer to a pool of positive minded professionals with more relevant expertise should this be the case. A refund would be issued in this instance.
